interior architecture

Christies auction house in London had several unused enclosed internal spaces which had previously been used as art storage that they wanted to combine and repurpose as a staff cafe, both for breaks and for meeting purposes.

With minimal windows it was important to open the space to allow the light in, so half the seating area is double height to benefit from the high-level windows and half has an additional seating mezzanine.

The cafe was to be finished in the style of a New York loft with exposed brick and ducting with fixtures and fittings to match.
